I can understand where you are coming from with the 750 psig test requirement Thread make up is going to be a bear if you are using NPT threads in a make and break situation. need to test each valve, and for the local regulating body only the shell test of 150% of working pressure is needed. but to test to ap598 we need a closure test to both sides of the ball valve. 0 leakage for both tests.
