can anyone explain what a purge control solenoid valve is and what it does. my harness has a plug for one but my inlet manifold does noy have one. cna i just leave this plug disconnected?

snt it the charcoal canister that absorbs the fuel vapors from the fuel tank?

on my car it has a small line from the intake manifold, one line to the throttle body and one line coming from the fuel tank

i plugged the lines from the intake manifold and throttle body and let the fuel tank line open to breathe - i than proceeded to throw the canister and valve in the bin。

no this a black solenoid valve sits top left firewall side corner of the intake manifold and it is has a plug connector(sensor) on it. so my harness has a connector for it but my manifold does not have anything there. these vei's have some different stuff on them i am finding.
