Demanding quality and performance standards
Awareness of
their responsibility to environmental issues and their attitude and response to this type of situation will be a fair indication of their
commitment concerning response and concern with challenges from the consumer. It is incumbent on them to ensure that their consumer is
receiving a product which is manufactured in order to provide the maximum protection for the environment and the minimum emissions from
their valves.
This sense of responsibility will generally follow throughout the organization, including the selection of distributors
to represent their company products. It will apply in respect of any ancillary equipment, such as actuators which must adhere to the
demanding quality and performance standards set by knife gate valve manufacturers. By this means, users can be assured that they are
receiving the best product and service for their needs. This will be particularly relative to complementing equipment in respect of
automation. The manufacturers of these valves are required to produce products that meet the specific demands of users, some of which
occasionally call for extreme specialized application. An example of such a case is the chemical process of “Alkylation”. A product named
“Alkyl ate”, which is recognized as having high octane content, is blended with motor oil or aviation fuel, to improve the ‘anti-knock’
value of the fuel.
