Control sets
With a bypass its normally the same size or smaller than the control valve? But can the ball valve be directly attached to the tee. I thought it was not possible to get the bolts in if the flange was directled attached to the tee.
A weldneck flange attached to the tee should offer enough room for bolts. Going with a fitting make-up like that saves one weld associated with installing a short piece of pipe.
I'm more accustomed to seeing globe valves used but I don't see there being much difference, piping wise.
A former colleague reckoned that you couldnt get the bolts in but Ive noticed in the models at this job im on all the control sets have a weldneck attached to a tee..then a globe valve straight to that.
