Closed center valve problem

2010-11-05

I have a older case tractor with a bushhog front end loader on it, recently the inlet line on the control valve burst went ahead replaced both the inlet and the return line.somehow they got switched durring installation now the loader arms go up but not down and the bucket tilts down but not up, it seems like the fluid is not flowing through the valve properly anymore what damage could of happen to the valve or componnets.Checkvalve in lines or integrated in valves misplaced or turned 180 degrees when mounted.
Is it possible that the old return line had a check valve built into it, i dont think you need one on the supply line, and no it does not pressurize when you try to retract, it just acts like fuid is not moving in the retcact function on either valves .If the valve is as old as the tractor, I'd guess that some part internal to the valve broke, and that's what killed the supply hose.  IOW, the valve is still broken.
